Hang Pot Plants Using A Cat Harness
Has anyone ever tried to physically fit a cat harness on an older cat? DON’T, only if you’re sporting chain-mail, a complete face helmet and possess complete emergency care center protection. Do the sensible thing and make use of cat carriers for moving cats and kittens around. Just what on earth would have a person having a considerable amount of said faculties intact and a love of life, to set about the process of hoping to put a cat harness on any kind of cat let alone a strong older mature cat.
My friend was placed in a predicament when her daughter was moving inter-state for a limited while. The daughter possessed four rescue cats, and a more friendly family of felines, than you could ever in your life possibly imagine meeting. All of these were not the dilemma for everything was organized for the spoiled four. The trouble was in fact a big Tomcat which had adopted the four cats as his very own. In the beginning there was the worry that his motives were solely wicked. After a few weeks of continual concern, the daughter discovered the Tom inside one day, grooming the cats one by one. Of course he bolted instantly, but at least the girl cats were free from harm. As the shifting date was still a couple of months out, food was put outside for old Tom and the ‘girls’ took to playing outdoors in the sunshine, with the older cat maintaining a watchful eye on them, and on the odd occasions playing with them like a kitten himself any time he thought no humans could see him.
The packing had started and by the rear door were four cat carriers smartly stacked. One facing outwards with its doorway open, was in the middle of becoming decked out with blankets when the daughter had gone to answer the telephone. All of a sudden there had been a unqualified crash and squealing to be over heard. Tom had clambered into the cat carrier to explore and the total lot had toppled, capturing him securely inside. This was the opportunity of all time, and within the hour with very much yowling, he was lodged at our local vet to be sterilized.
This had been done but Tom was in fact still very wild, and remote except where the other cats were concerned. With them, he was every kittens’ most-loved uncle and a pleasure to observe. Moving time had been rapidly nearing and panic stations were setting in. Just what to do with the older cat. He couldn’t go with them and he couldn’t be ignored either. My friend, in her wisdom decided that he would come home together with her and when settled down plus a little less wild, would then be shifted off to be with the ‘girls’. Cat runs were being erected rapidly, poor Tom trapped in the midst of play-time with a cunningly located cat trap and then dumped unceremoniously within his brand-new house.
Time passed with plenty of protests from Tom. All quite sad actually, and I have to point out all that had the privilege of being able to meet Tom, became very keen on him. That’s prior to the fateful day my friend came to the conclusion that it had been all too unkind and Tom needed a decent wander. Enter, the cat harness via a local pet shop. At that time, I was visiting my granddaughter for several days so didn’t hear about the unpleasant event until my return. My friend had all good intentions but Tom had other thoughts about this torture device that she was patiently trying to strap him into. It didn’t take place!
Bandages off, Tetanus shot and a little ‘Cat’ cleverer, my dear friend and I adjourned returning to the location of the offense for a nice cuppa. They address each other with perfect respect at this point and in spite of the war wounds, my friend has fallen totally in love with the Tom. He won’t end up being shipped off any longer, they are actually looking forward to the return of her daughter and my friend in an perhaps greater display of intelligence, is in the middle of getting the best of all cat runs built on her daughters’ property. The cat harness is suspended from a tree branch along with a little pot of attractive plants sitting in it, where most cat harness’ should reside!
